Extra police patrols for Chalfont St Peter

THERE will be extra police patrols in Chalfont St Peter this weekend to deal with young people who throw fireworks.
PC Jim Clarke confirmed that following four arson attacks in The Vale on October 18, when a caravan, two motocycles and a car were set alight, the police presence in the village would be increased.

He said that experience from previous years has shown that during the weeks just before and after Bonfire Night, young people in particular are tempted to throw fireworks.
"We don't know who these people are, but if we did, we would be rattling their cage. We ask anyone with information to let us know straight away so that we can deal with them," he said.
"We want people to have a nice, peaceful firework weekend. We don't want people causing a trouble or a nuisance," he said.

We'd like to hear from you.
