Since September 2007 the staff, parents and pupils have been working towards the award and were delighted this week to have the plaque on their walls.
Acting headteacher Julie Stewart said: "We are extremely proud of all the efforts that our healthy schools team has made to gain this award. We are the first Catholic school in the county to get this status and we feel it reflects the high quality of care that we bring to our community."

The award has four parts: personal, social and health education, healthy eating, physical activity and emotional health and wellbeing.
Within the four elements are a number of key points the school has to meet. The technology lessons are directly linked to the lunches the schools gives from its purpose-built kitchen, a number of extra-curricular clubs have been set up and the pupils have been taught about anti-bullying and child bereavement.
The award lasts until 2011 and the school must keep up the good work during the next three years.
Mrs Stewart is keen to thank all those who were involved, especially those involved in producing feeding the children, and Wendy Smith, Bucks County Council's advisors for healthy schools.
She added: "It took a lot of people and it was very much a team process. We especially wanted to involve the children and consulted the school council."

We'd like to hear from you.
