Arsonists target Church Lane bins
There was more trouble with the recycling bins in Chalfont St Peter this week when two of them were set on fire.
One of the bins in Church Lane, which have been the subject of much anger from nearby residents in the past, was found ablaze early on Sunday morning.
A fire crew from Gerrards Cross were called to the scene at 7.39am and extinguished the flames.
The fire was just the latest problem with the bins, which residents in flats overlooking the car park have long complained about due to the amount of rubbish which is often dumped next to them and the noise caused by people using them at unsociable hours.
There have also been a series of complaints about the lights that remain turned on all night in the car park so that people are able to see to use the bins.
On Tuesday evening at 6.53pm, another bin near Cordon Close was also found on fire before a team from Gerrards Cross arrived to make the scene safe.
