Denham woman to run for Euro Parliament

A DENHAM woman is set to stand as an independent candidate for the European Parliament.
Lyn Tofari, a former Denham Parish and South Bucks District Councillor, has decided to run for selection as a candidate for the South East area.

She has joined the recently established Jury Team website, which says that it aims to restore proper democracy to politics using modern technology.
Every candidate using the website is an independent, because the website believes that politics is more effective without party affiliations.
Mrs Tofari said: "I have decided to stand to represent the South East area because it is an area with generally high standards of education and is a beautiful part of the country in which to live and work.
"I think that a great number of laws that currently emanate from Brussels have a direct, often detrimental effect on our every day lives and many of us have not really been aware of what they area.
"I do have views, but as an independent I have always acted on the issues that directly effect the constituents. Any elected councillor, member of parliament or member of the European parliament is a servant of the people and should act accordingly, but that is not to say that an elected person shouldn't be proactive."
If you would like to vote for Mrs Tofari, text LYNTOF01 to 86837, at a cost of 25p plus the standard network rate.
