Parish Church treats villagers at Easter

THE Parish Church of Chalfont St Peter was out in force over the Easter weekend with a number of activities around the village.
On Good Friday, the parish youth group performed their annual Passion of Christ routine, which tells the story of Jesus' crucifixion and his subsequent resurrection.

More than 100 people turned out to watch the event in the church grounds.
Then on, Saturday, members of the group took to the streets to hand out hot cross buns to shoppers to wish them a happy Easter.
Reverend Charles Overton of the church said: "It was lovely seeing so many people on Friday and to meet some 300 parishioners in the village on Saturday morning. We look forward to meeting more members of our community over the coming months in our new community initiative."

We'd like to hear from you.
