Overgrown A413 roundabout causing concern

DRIVERS in Chalfont St Peter are concerned that a roundabout on a busy stretch of road has become so overgrown that they cannot see when pulling out.
The roundabout and verges on the A413 at the bottom of Kingsway leading into the village have become filled with long grass and other greenery which is obstructing the views of drivers pulling out onto the busy road.

Although there have been no accidents at the site, motorists are worried that it will only be a matter of time, unless the grass and leaves are cut back.
One driver, who did not wish to be named, said: "You can't see any cars approaching when you come to that roundabout, and its really dangerous. The fact is that a lot cars travel along that road far too quickly, so you really have to have your wits about you when using that roundabout.
"If you cannot see what is coming, it becomes much more dangerous than it already is, and it can be really worrying, especially at busy times of the day.
"The grass needs to be cut urgently before something serious happens. It is not a big job and wouldn't take long, but it's really important that it's done as soon as possible.
"I quite often avoid using the roundabout and go a different way, because I don't trust cars coming along the A413 to be travelling at sensible speeds.
"If the grass were to be cut, the problem would effectively disappear, and the road would be a much safer place to drive."
