A RESIDENT at a care home had a dream come true when he rode in a helicopter for the first time.
Paul de Burgh, 88, who lives at the Chalfont Lodge care home in Denham Lane, Chalfont St Peter, flew around Buckinghamshire at the weekend thanks to a grant from a charity which raises money for people with mental and physical problems.

Mr de Burgh was previously a production manager in the film industry and as such flew all over the world, but he had never before had the chance to fly in a helicopter.
Thanks to the Barchester Healthcare Foundation's grant, he was able to get his wish.
Mr de Burgh flew all over the county, travelling at 125 miles per hour and at a height of 12,000 feet.
After landing, he said: "It was a great opportunity and I'd like to thank everyone who made this possible."

We'd like to hear from you.
