YOUNG artists at a primary school used their knowledge of the world to create posters to promote their summer fayre.
The pupils, aged between five and seven, from Chalfont St Peter Infant School in Lovel End Road, competed to come up with the best poster to depict the theme for the fayre: Wonderful World.

The winning creations, judged by Laura Edwards and Sophie Linder-Lee from Perform (a local company providing acting classes for children) were a collection of eye-catching world scenes, including flags from different countries, tourist landmarks and drawings of the globe.
The overall winner was Sam Clark, seven, whose poster showed a hand covered in flags of different countries.
Other winners were Lucy Thorp, Paula Koscielny, Gabriel Lewis, Sam Clark, who was the overall winner, Oliver Manning, Jaia Kortman, Betsy Godfrey, Rebecca Murdoch and Erin Tosh.
Judge Laura Edwards said: "We were really impressed with the high standard of the entries. We found it very hard to choose."
The fayre takes place on Saturday, June 20, at the school and will kick off with a fantasy flag parade at 12:10, featuring flags created by the children.
Apart from the usual treats such as tombola, wild west shoot-out, trolley run and lots to eat and drink, the fayre will also host a West African Drum Song and Dance from the Chiltern Drummers.
