Nuisance bikers invade village

POLICE in Chalfont St Peter have found that people using motorbikes on private land are travelling to the area from different counties.
There have been a host of complaints from residents in the village about the problem, which has seen bikers causing noise and disturbances into the early hours of the morning.

Having stopped a number of the drivers, police have found that they are travelling to the village from as far away as Hemel Hempstead and Watford to use the land.
It has led police to believe that there must be an internet group which has been set up to recommend the area to bikers who enjoy off road riding.
PCSO Mike Burnham said: "We've stopped quite a few of the people who have been doing this and a lot of them are not from the village or even the surrounding area.
"Quite a few of them are coming in from Hertfordshire and Berkshire, so there must be word among people who like riding off road that this is a good area for it. We need to put a stop to it.
"We think there may be an internet site that has been set up which recommends the village for people who enjoy doing this.
"We have also found that although there are quite a few youngsters who do this, some of the people we have stopped have been as old as 50, which we were surprised about."
Police say that if riders are caught doing this, they will be given a warning and if caught a second time, they will have their motorbikes taken from them.

What a load of rubbish. The chavs riding bikes around the woods here are locals... and everybody knows it.

Why is this misinformation being reported?

Around Leachcroft they are local. Everywhere else they are not.
