Stylishly cut wigs for cancer suffering women

A CHALFONT St Peter hairdresser is offering support to women who have lost their hair by stylishly re-cutting their wigs for them.
Fake It, in Market Place, Chalfont St Peter, is offering the service to women who have lost their hair through illness and have been given wigs as a replacement.

The service is part of a new charity initiative called My New Hair which launched last month.
Fake It has become one of a network of salons providing the restyling service to people suffering from cancer and medical hair loss.
Josie Devlin, manager of the shop, said: "It seemed like a really good thing to get involved in. I've been lucky enough to do the training for this and it is great to see the difference it makes to women who have lost their hair.
"If something like that happens to you it can be devastating and the women it happens to often lose their confidence. A lot of the wigs that are on the market are not very stylish, and this can also upset women who have lost their hair.
"With this charity, we can help to give women back a little bit of the confidence they have lost. We're all really pleased to be involved with it."
Ms Devlin learned the new skill under Trevor Sorbie, who founded the new charity.
