NSE receives huge new year donation
THE National Society for Epilepsy (NSE) has had the perfect start to the new year by receiving a huge donation.
The centre, based in Chesham Lane, Chalfont St Peter, was given a grant of £17,488 by the Roald Dahl Foundation to help set up and support seven epilepsy information stands at paediatric epilepsy clinics across the country.
The special information stands provide information leaflets on the medical, psychological and social aspects for young people with the condition, their families, carers and friends.
Elaine Falkner, the NSE's community outreach manager, said: "It is a generous gift and it will make a big difference to the services we are able to provide throughout the country to support children and teenagers with epilepsy.
"We would like to thank the Roald Dahl Foundation for making this possible. The NSE can provide a lot of useful information to people with epilepsy and the people who care for them.
"However, without wonderful donations like the one from the Roald Dahl Foundation, it would be difficult to reach as many people as we do."
We'd like to hear from you. Send your stories, pics and videos
