A GROUP of Chalfont St Peter women have appeared on a national television series documenting their attempts to lose weight.
The group, who call themselves the Chalfont Chubbies, appeared on the Channel 4 series My Big Fat Diet alongside host Anna Richardson.

The show documented the group's efforts to drop a dress size in two weeks and was shown to coincide with the annual ritual of the January diet.
Viewers were invited to diet along with the group, who regularly meet up at Fake It hair dressers in Market Place, owned by group member Josie Devlin.
Throughout the show, the group were allowed 300 calories for breakfast, 400 for lunch and 500 dinner, a total of 1,200 a day, which combined with exercise resulted in a weight loss of between four and six pounds.
Josie said: "It was a fantastic experience to be involved in, and we all loved taking part. It was great to work with Anna Richardson and she was really down to earth and lots of fun.
"We got involved because the sister of one of our members is in the television industry and heard that the show was looking for a group of dieters to take part in the programme, and they suggested us.
"Since the show has been on, we have had a lot of comments from customers, who have seen us on the TV."
On the programme, the group also met Matt Dawson, the former England rugby star, who showed the group how to cook low fat meals.
Josie added: "That was a great part of the programme. Matt was really nice and it was fantastic to meet him."

Have you ever considered adding more videos to your blog posts to keep the readers more entertained? I mean I just read through the entire article of yours and it was quite good but since I'm more of a visual learner,I found that to be more helpful.
