Two St Giles schools to join together

THE coming together of two schools in Chalfont St Giles was marked with a special visit from Cheryl Gillan MP.

Mrs Gillan went along to the village last week to talk to pupils at Chalfont St Giles Infant and Junior Schools.

The two schools are now coming together to form the Chalfont St Giles Village School. They will remain at two different sites in the village but will follow the same curriculum and have the same teachers from the time they join the school as an infant up until their last year in Year Six.

The two schools will also now have the same board of governors.

Kate La Motte, a governor at the school, said: "The children really enjoyed the day and loved learning about its history.

"Some of the children in our journalist club even got the chance to interview Cheryl Gillan which was a great experience for them."

We'd like to hear from you.
