WILDLIFE could be given a boost if planning permission is granted for a retirement complex in Chalfont St Peter.

Developer Audley Retirement has promised to create a wildlife area, a wildflower meadow, an orchard and three interlinked ponds if it gets permission to build on land near the Epilepsy Society's site in Chesham Lane.

PEOPLE in Chalfont St Peter and Chalfont St Giles can see the plans for a new 264-home housing development.

Today (Thursday) Comer Homes are holding a public consultation showing their plans to build 264 new homes at the Newland Park site in Gorelands Lane, which links the two villages.

THREE new office blocks in Chalfont St Peter are set for completion during the next few months.

Buildings at the Chiltern Park development are currently under construction and Barwood Developments, who are behind the project, estimate that all the buildings will be finished and occupied by different companies by July, with the first building set for completion by the end of March.

Hussein Shamshudin, who was 17 and from Chesham, was involved in an accident in Longbottom Lane, Seer Green at around 9.25pm on Friday.

A 17-YEAR-OLD boy has died following a car accident in Seer Green.
The incident happened on Friday evening at 9.15pm when a grey Citroen C4 containing four teenage boys and one teenage girl lost control on Longbottom Lane travelling towards the A355 and collided with a tree.

HEROIC volunteers who came to the rescue of drivers stranded in the snow and who helped children get to school have been praised by grateful villagers.

A POPULAR nightclub in Chalfont St Peter has been saved from demolition after a bid to knock it down was rejected by Chiltern District Council.

Last year, an application was made to bulldoze Winkers Nightclub in Chalfont St Peter and replace it with flats or housing.

A YOUTH club is celebrating after being given permission to build a new sports club in the village.

Chalfont St Giles Youth Club, which is run by volunteer Suizan Jefferson, applied to Chiltern District Council to build the new sports hall and have now been given the go ahead.
