School girl meets the Muppets

FOR most school children, having a chat with the Muppets is something that only happens in a dream.

However, for Lucy Harrison, an 11-year-old pupil at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School in Chalfont St Peter it became a reality last week, when she interviewed Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy.

Lucy is a young ambassador for education charity Film Club and because of her role there she was treated to a trip to London to interview the stars of the new film The Muppets as well as director James Bobin.

Along with other youngsters from across the country, she was allowed to put questions to the pair, and Lucy asked Kermit if, after such a long time apart he still got along with all his old friends.

He told her that he did, and that he had even managed to make lots of new ones on the set of his new film.

Lucy said: "It feels really good to have actually spoken to Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog.

"It was really good and really fun. It was a bit nerve wracking but it was just amazing."
