CHALFONT St Peter is bidding to be named the most attractive village in Buckinghamshire, and to be recognised for the quality of its decorations.
Last year, the village was given the Pushman Cup, after a break of six years, which was given to them by the Bucks Association of Local Councils for being the best kept village with a population of more than 3,000 people.
Gold Hill Common will be lit up by a special beacon when Chalfont St Peter joins in with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
