A MAN was left with serious head injuries after being assaulted with a baseball bat in Chalfont St Peter.
The incident happened on Sunday evening at around 7.15pm in Layters Close, and the 48-year-old victim was taken to Wexham Park Hospital where he was treated for his injury.

TWO women have died in a car collision in Chalfont St Giles yesterday.

A CHALFONT St Peter man has been sentenced to a 20 month jail term after pleading guilty to committing sexual offences against two boys.
Niall Colm Stack, 55, of Wheatley Way, Chalfont St Peter, admitted two counts of indecent assault on a boy under the age of 14 and one count of assault on a boy under the age of 13 by touching.

A GROUP of burglars have been given prison sentences for a series of shop thefts in Chalfont St Peter, Stoke Poges and Farnham Common.

The gang of five were sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court on Friday, January 27 after pleading guilty to offences following a series of 15 burglaries where nearly £90,000 worth of cigarettes were stolen from different shops.

The man, aged 61, has asked to remain anonymous on the advice of police, but told the Advertiser about the crime, which took place at his home in Lime Walk, Willowbank, New Denham at around 11.35pm on Thursday 6 May.

burntbike.jpgPOLICE are appealing for witnesses after a teenage boy's motorbike was stolen and burnt in a nearby field.

The bike was stolen from Grove Lane in Chalfont St Peter in the early hours of Sunday (17) morning around 1am.

PC Jim Clarke at Chalfont St Peter police station said: "This is a heartless crime. When the thieves couldn't prise the lock off the bike they just dragged it off anyway and burnt it to a cinders. It was brand new. I ride a bike and I remember my first - I would've been extremely upset.

THE daughter of a man who who was brutally beaten up in a darkened street has said that street lighting would have helped to identify his attackers.
A 50-year-old man was badly hurt in a New Year's Day attack in Lovel Road, Chalfont St Peter, which took place at around 4am.
