Doris Girder of Chalfont St Peter pensioner has reached the milestone of her 100th birthday.
Mrs Girder, who was born on July 23, 1908, celebrated her birthday with family and friends at the Rock House care home in Austenwood Lane.
A classic car display, a brass band, beer tent and displays from garden centres are some of the attractions at this weekend's 115th annual Stoke Poges, Wexham and Fulmer Horticultural Society Show.
The annual meeting of the National Council of Women Gerrards Cross and Chalfonts branch will be held at the Chalfont St Peter Community Hall on Sunday at 2.15pm. The new committee will be elected and, following the official meeting, a special tea will be served.
The, NCW Gerrards Cross and Chalfonts branch meets on the last Thursday of every month, September to June at 2.15pm in the Chalfont St Peter Community Centre. Call 01494 871 953 to find out what's in store from this September.

A Bishop from India made a trip to Chalfont St Peter C of E School in order to boost relations with a community in the country.
Bishop Lawrence, from the Nandyal region in central India, visited the school, in Penn Road, last Wednesday with his wife and a representative from the Diocese of Oxford.
