A mobile phone protestors' group is urging people to lodge their complaints about the proposed siting of a 12m radio mast in Chalfont St Peter, which she says will attract graffiti and indirectly encourage drivers to use their phones.

VOPAG meeting

Village Older Persons Action Group meeting on Thursday, August 21 at the Chalfont St Peter Council Office starting at 10am for coffee and meeting to commence at 10.30am. Sarah Watson-Fisher will talk about the application to become a NHS Foundation Trust and its implications locally.
Members are reminded to park at the end of the road past the Parish Office and not in the Community Centre car park.

Further to article you kindly ran, just to say I completed the 1.5 mile swim on 26th July. I am a local dentist here in Chalfont St Peter.

Water was cold, as expected, and the current very strong especially 500m from the shore, but well pleased with the time of 38 mins, and the amount of £3000+ raised for Helen and Douglas House in Oxford.
If anyone wants to contribute to the charity- we can forward their donation.

Gerrards Cross and Chalfonts Probus Club is for retired men of all occupations and meets at Colston Hall, the Memorial Centre at 10am for 10.30am, finishing at noon, on the first and third Wednesdays of the month.

Concertgoers' new season begins on Sunday, September 21 with a visit to the Barbican for a concert by the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Valery Gergiev, of music by Rachmaninoff, including the Piano Concerto no.4.

Misbourne Art Society is a very friendly, relaxed and active society which meets in the Community Centre on the first Saturday in every month at 2.15pm.

Stimulating demonstrations and illustrated talks are given by eminent artists; there are also workshops and outdoor sketching and painting days. New members and visitors are always welcome.
